Amherst, NY (October 30, 2012) — With the recent unveiling of Windows® 8, ATTO Technology, Inc. today announced it offers full support for its line of network and storage connectivity products, including Celerity Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), ExpressSAS® SAS/SATA HBAs and RAID Adapters and FastFrame™ Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Converged Network Adapters (CNAs). As the only connectivity provider that allows both servers and workstations access to enterprise class storage, ATTO also offers a full suite of software-based productivity and performance-enhancing solutions supporting Windows. "ATTO has worked closely with Microsoft® for over 15 years to give high-performance computing users access to the Windows operating system," said Wayne Arvidson, vice president of marketing at ATTO. Key features of Windows 8 include a fresh Metro user interface, added support for the ARM processor and Internet Explorer 10. Windows 8 also has significant changes to Hyper-V, including improved live migration, better support for Fibre Channel and more feature-rich virtual networking.
