ATTO ExpressPCI UL4D and UL4S problem in Dell Precision T3400, T5400, and T7400 computers
Several customers have reported a hang condition after displaying the ATTO banner for the UL4D and UL4S adapters on these computers. Other ATTO adapters do not exhibit this problem. Until a fix becomes available, please do one of the following: (1) Disconnect any attached devices, boot the computer and wait 5 to 10 minutes for the computer to boot into the operating system. Open the ATTO Configuration Tool and change the UL4x BIOS (or Boot driver) to "disabled". Commit the settings and reboot the computer. (2) Install the adapter in another computer and enter the adapter configuration via "control z". Change the UL4x BIOS (boot driver) to "disabled". Save the settings and exit. Power down the computer and reinstall the adapter in the Dell computer. Note: You will not be able to boot off this adapter at this time. Please use the ATTO Configuration Tool to make any other adapter NVRAM changes. Do not attempt to make any adapter settings via "control z" in the Dell because the save will not complete quickly.

Java is a computing platform that enables applications to run in almost any computer or device. Available for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and UNIX operating systems, the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) allows you to take advantage of the benefits of Java-enabled applications. Several ATTO applications are Java-enabled. As such, the JRE must be installed on your computer for these applications to run. The JRE is available for download at the Java technology web site (www.java.com). This site also provides a wealth of technical support resources to help you, if needed.

I have an HP XW9300 computer. Windows XP Device Manager displays a yellow ! and error code 10 for the driver for any ATTO PCIe adapter, including UL5D, 44ES, 42ES, or 41ES.
A quick fix for this condition is to swap the ATTO and graphics adapters. Install the display adapter in slot 3 and the ATTO PCIe adapter in slot 1.
Update the BIOS for your motherboard. Please search www.hp.com for the latest BIOS update for your system.
Update the firmware on Celerity adapters to version 2.60 or later. Update UL5D adapters to a version dated 3/16/2007 or later.

I can only see 2 TB of my >2 TB Array under Windows
ATTO Celerity, ExpressPCI, and ExpressSAS adapters all support volumes larger than 2 TB. Windows XP64, Windows Server 2003 (SP1 or greater), and Windows Vista support this directly. Disk Management in these operating systems support three drive types: Basic, Dynamic, and GPT. Volumes greater than 2 TB must be flagged as GPT to allow access to the entire volume. For Windows XP, 32 bit, you can create multiple dynamic NTFS partitions of 2 TB or less, and then stripe them together (RAID0) to create a large volume.
